Rev. Grayson Leach serves as our Director of Music and Worship here at Norview Baptist Church.
Grayson is actually from the Five Points area and resided here from 1964-1973. From 1976 until 2013, he worked at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and retired after 37 years as the Deputy Division Head of the Radiological Monitoring Division. Additionally, he has served as an Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Worship Pastor at several local churches over the years.
God blessed Grayson with founding a Special Needs Ministry known as "The Chosen Ministry" where he served as the Pastor until 2015. His experience with The Chosen Ministry enabled him to be a Special Needs Ministry Advisor with for the Virginia Baptist Mission Board.
Rev. Leach is enrolled at the John Leland Center for Theological Studies and was ordained into the minstry in 2017 by the Bridge Network of Churches and Azalea Baptist Church.
Grayson and his lovely wife Sandra have been married for 38 years. God has blessed them with two daughters, Jessica and husband Cory who reside in California and Racheal and granddaughter Adalynn who reside in Norfolk. They have lived in the Camellia Garden area of Norfolk for 36 years.
Additionally, Grayson loves to play the guitar, sing, and every once in a while, the drums. He periodically plays at local coffee houses.
